Public House HiFi is Newcastle's only vintage audiophile sound system — researched, built, and maintained by Vinny Vins and Diz Jockey. Inspired by the legendary early disco systems of New York, every component has been meticulously sourced and refined to bring the North East something it's never had before.

This isn't background music. Public House exists to deliver music in the highest possible fidelity, played by DJs who are genuinely dedicated to the art form — selectors who dig deep, play with care, and understand what a sound system like this is capable of.

The foundation of the system. Legendary American drivers renowned for their warmth, dynamics, and the ability to fill a room without fatigue. The same heritage used in the great disco rooms of the 70s.

Altec Lansing

Voice of the Theatre horns. Altec Lansing's horn-loaded compression drivers deliver midrange clarity and presence that modern PA systems simply cannot replicate. Warmth and articulation in equal measure.

TAD

TAD Drivers

Technical Audio Devices — some of the finest transducers ever made. TAD components bring studio-grade precision to the dance floor, delivering high frequencies with accuracy and zero harshness.

Bass

7ft wall of bass. Floor-to-ceiling low end that you feel as much as hear.

Highs

Floating tweeter array that rains the highs down over the crowd.

Public House HiFi has an exclusive home — the upstairs loft space at Gingerino's Pizza on Stepney Bank in Ouseburn, Newcastle. Pizza and drinks downstairs, hi-fi listening upstairs.

100 tickets. No more. Every event is intentionally small — a space where you can actually hear the music the way it was meant to be heard, where you can talk to the people around you, and where the focus is always on the sound and the selection.

Make A Dance

Ben Lewis and Josh Ludlow — the London duo behind M.A.D Records and M.A.D Edits. Since 2020 they've built a reputation for loose, energetic sets moving through classic house, oddball edits, disco, B-sides and proper party records. Panorama Bar, Fabric, Glastonbury, Love International and Gottwood. Five hours upstairs gives them plenty of room to do their thing.
